Are you registered with Alopecia or undergoing chemotherapy? If so you could be eligable to purchase wigs without paying VAT and save 17.5% on the purchase price. Applies to U.K customers only. Excludes any wig already reduced and advertised as a discontinued style.

You are only entitled to VAT relief on the wigs only. Accessories, hairpieces and hair care products are not subject to zero rating of VAT. Any official or additional documentation you supply to us in order to validate your zero rated VAT claim, will be returned to you (E.g. NHS forms or doctors certificates).

Please note that it is an offence under the VAT (Value Added Tax Act 1994 amended 2001) to make a fraudulent application to purchase wigs without VAT at this zero rate. In accordance with the act, a zero rated VAT form must be completed and signed for every purchase made.

Wig Care

The information below should be used as a guide only. Please refer to manufacturers own instructions/recommendations for further details.

Putting on a wig

Firstly turn the wig upside down and give the wig a gentle shake to loosen up the fibres. Identify the front and the back of the wig. There is always a label and velcro sizing tabs at the back. Don't worry too much about doing up the tabs as they can be adjusted later for a better fit. Hold the wig at the back and place the front part over your forehead and pull it over your head, using your fingers to ensure any hair is kept clear of you face. The wig should fit securely but not be too tight. If it is then remove the wig and adjust the velcro tabs and put the wig on again for a better fit.

Synthetic wigs

Washing

Gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush or use you fingers to untangle any/all the fibres. Fill a sink with cold water and add a small amount of wig shampoo. These shampoos are especially formulated for use on wigs, so do not use ordinary shampoos. Then, Immerse the wig in the water for a few minutes ensuring that the water and shampoo covers the whole of the wig without rubbing the wig. Take the wig out of the sink and after draining refill the sink with cold water again and soak the wig in the water again to rinse. Repeat this several times if necessary. Those using long wigs would benefit from washing them using the shower attachment. This way the wigs remain hanging downwards, thus greatly reducing the risk of the wig becoming tangled. Once the wig is free from all traces of the shampoo, place the wig in a towel and blot it carefully to soak up any excess water without squeezing or wringing the wig. Place the wig on a tall object like a hair spray can or preferably a plastic wig stand (Styrofoam heads may stretch the cap) and allow to dry naturally. Do not allow the wig to dry in direct sunlight, as this can lead to discolouring of the wig.

Styling

Once the wig is dry gently tease the fibres with your fingers to free up any tangled fibres before using a special wig brush or comb. Avoid using a brush designed for human hair. These brushes can create excessive tension, over-stretching the hair with abrasive strokes that may damage the hair. You are now ready to put some extra styling into your wig if you wish to or leave in the pre set style. The best styling tool is a spray bottle of clean water. Lightly spray your wig with water to remove static electricity and return your wig to its original look.
To achieve style variations a liquid wig mousse is good styling tool. For curly or wavy styles, just mousse, hand scrunch, and pick the style into curls. On straight styles, mousse and brush the wig lightly.
Your wig was designed with a basic style but the variations you can achieve through styling are limitless. Added height can be achieved by gently lifting with the wig comb. If you want added fullness as well, tease or back-comb and then smooth the surface hair over the teasing. Your wig can be returned to its basic style by washing it and allowing it to air dry.

Caring for a wig

Use products that are specifically designed for wigs, as these products are designed for synthetic hair. They will also help to keep the wig looking natural by not stripping away the color or the natural sheen. using these products will help the wig to last longer. Keep your wig stored on a wig stand or other makeshift item (such as a roll of kitchen roll). This will help it hold its style and shape. Always when you take off a wig, just comb it through with your fingers to free up the fibres before putting it away.

What to avoid

Do not expose your wig to any unnecessary heat (Like opening an oven door, standing near a barbecue grill, etc.) as this will damage the wig fibers and cause wig fibers to frizz and melt.
Never brush your wig when wet.
Do not use any form of curling irons, hot rollers or blow dryers. Again, heat will totally ruin the wig.
Do not use products designed for regular human hair. Only use special wig shampoos, conditioners, hair sprays, mousses, and brushes or combs made especially for wigs.
Do not use bleaches, colors, or rinses on your wig. This also applies to wearing your wig in a swimming pool, as the chlorine in the water will act as a bleaching agent.
If you smoke the tar from the cigarette smoke will get into the fibres of your wig and you will ruin it. Avoid contact will all tobacco products completely.

Human Hair Wigs

Washing and Setting

Human hair wigs should be washed in cool to luke-warm water with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Using a conditioner is also recommended to reduce tangling. Wash the wig a similar way to synthetic wigs and dry in the same way. Those using long wigs would benefit from washing them using the shower attachment. This way the wigs remain hanging downwards, thus greatly reducing the risk of the wig becoming tangled. Human hair wigs can be set when wet. After washing, comb the hair then set in rollers or dry with a hair dryer on a low heat. Simply teat the wig in the same way as your own hair.

Styling, combing and brushing

There are no problems using curling tongs, heated rollers or any other products on a human hair wig. Most wig caps are designed to be unaffected by the heat but additional care must be taken when styling a wig with a skin-like cap as the plastic in the cap material can melt under heat.
If wig hair gets frizzy, try any sheen spray or wig spray to calm the frizziness and then comb. If not, wash then set with setting lotion to get the frizziness out. When wigs are tangled, use any detangling or sheen spray then comb the hair. Any hair products such as gel, moose or sprays can be used on these wigs, as they are washable.

The Wharf Theatre is an attractively converted canal-side warehouse, situated in the heart of Devizes alongside the picturesque Kennet & Avon Canal. The Wharf Theatre stages approximately eight shows each year and is known throughout the area not only for the high quality of its productions but also for the intimate ambience of its 96 seat auditorium. The policy of the Wharf Theatre is to provide a first rate community facility and it is delighted to welcome local groups and other performers, amateur and professional alike.

Making a purchase:

It’s easy to make a purchase. Simply look through our on line catalogue and click on any items that you wish to purchase and put them into the shopping basket. You will be able to remove them easily before completing of your order. After you have finished your selection, click on the 'Checkout' button and you will be taken through the on line ordering process through the Barclays EPDQ secure server. There is a printable order form in the information section if you prefer to pay for any items by cheque or bankers draft or don’t wish to enter your credit card details on line. Upon making a purchase, you agree to accept the following terms and conditions.

Returns Policy:

You have the right to cancel any order within seven (7) days, starting from the day after receiving the goods. If you are unsure as to which product would be the most suitable for your needs, then please contact us and we can advise you further. Items that are not advertised on the web site can be ordered in as special orders and are non refundable because we are ordering in the item especially for you. Also items manufactured specifically for a customer can't be refunded.

If you do wish to cancel or exchange an item in your order, please notify us as soon as possible. All products must be returned to us in an unused and resalable condition complete with packaging within 7 days of receipt. We reserve the right not to refund either in whole or in part the price of the products if they have been used or damaged whilst in your possession or any of these terms and conditions are not met. We are sorry but the postage is non-refundable on returns, as this is a service cost.
Prior to returning the products you must contact us. All products must be returned to us at your cost and we suggest using a recorded or special delivery service, as parcels can be traced whilst in the postal system. We cannot accept any liability for products lost or damaged in transit. If the products were provided in error we will refund the postage cost in addition to any refunds. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

PLEASE NOTE: Any wigs or hairpieces that are returned that smell of tobacco, perfume or food smells will NOT be refunded under any circumstances, unless they are proved to be faulty, as these can't be resold. Likewise any wig that has been cut or styled or been brushed extensively can't be refunded. For hygiene reasons, hairpieces or extensions that have been attached to the hair in any way cannot be exchanged or refunded. Please note only one wig or hairpiece (the cheapest one) can be refunded per order, do not order more than two items to choose from, as any ordered over that amount will only be exchanged and not refunded.
Due to the costs involved in buying in wigs, we only allow customers to exchange up to two wigs, should they find that they have purchased the wrong one. We are a mail order company only and in the business of selling wigs to customers and not in the business of buying in wigs for customers to look at, as this becomes very expensive on our part!

Offers, discounts and promotions:

Our offers change each week, so ensure that you don’t miss out by visiting us regularly to check that the wig you need is on offer. Only one offer can be used at any one time and no offer can be used in conjunction with any other offer. Only one discounted amount can be used at any given time on a wig.
For those customers who are entitled to the VAT relief, they are also eligible for the price reduction offers, and the VAT relief is calculated from the offer price. If a wig is returned, for exchange, then the price reduction offer can be transferred to the new wig, as long as the wig is being exchanged for is of the same brand or that week’s offer has changed to the new brand to which the wig is being exchanged to.
Some wig brands will carry a free item as part of a promotion. The free item is therefore associated with that item and is given free for purchasing that wig brand or item. If the wig is returned for a refund, then the free item must also be returned as you are not entitled to keep the free item as the wig with which the free item is associated is being returned. If the wig is being exchanged, then as long as the replacement wig also carries the said free item, then you can retain the free item, so long as you intend to keep the replacement wig. Your sales receipt will tell you the retail price of the free item. If you return the wig and not the free item, then we reserve the right to charge you the retail price for that free item, as we would therefore assume that it is you intention to purchase the item. The free item must be returned, completely intact, unopened, unused and uneaten in the same condition as it was sent out in, as per our returns policy for wigs and other items. There is only one free item per order and each free item can also be purchased separately in any quantity from the accessories section.

Faulty Products:

Any claim for delivery shortages or damages must be reported to us within a few days following delivery.

If any item is defective, we will exchange it or make a refund. However, you must notify us of your intention to return the product to us within 7 days following delivery. All products must be returned to us at your cost and we suggest using a recorded or special delivery service, as parcels can be traced whilst in the postal system. We cannot accept any liability for products lost or damaged in transit.
We do not accept liability for any injury caused by your use of any of the products supplied to you.

Privacy Statement:

Client confidentiality is important to us. All our packages are marked with your address and a returns label of Wigtopia (TGC Group), Unit 106, 9 St. Johns Street, Colchester CO2 7NN only. There are NO indications of the content within the package except for customs purposes for overseas orders and all packages will be marked theatrical supplies. No other advertising is on the packaging. Your credit card bill will show a reference of 'TGC Group' for any purchases made through this on-line ordering service.
We do not use any of your contact details for any purpose other than to deal with your order and customer details are strictly confidential and never passed onto any third party or used in any mail shots.

Delivery:

All prices quoted exclude delivery and non-UK taxes. A delivery charge will be added to your order at the time of purchase. If you are placing an order for delivery outside the UK, delivery will be made by first class air mail postage. If you are placing an order for delivery within the UK, you may choose between first class or special delivery. We recommend that all UK orders exceeding £35 are sent to you by special delivery, as these can be traced through the postal system and is the most reliable service offered by the Royal Mail.
We aim to deliver your order as soon as possible subject to availability of stocks. We will normally send your order to you in 4 business days. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery, particularly at busy periods. We cannot accept any liability for products lost or damaged in transit. Duty & Customs in your country:

We cannot estimate customs and import duties (if applicable) in your country. If import duty is to be paid before your customs authorities release the goods to you, it is your responsibility to pay these duties and taxes. Billing:
