Here we try to keep you updated with what is happening within the world of wigs, informing you of any new ranges, discontinued styles and colour changes as well as general news from our suppliers. These pages will be updated as soon as any new information becomes available.

January 2010: The rate of VAT has now increased from 15% back to 17.5%. As we did not change our prices with the decrease, we will not be increasing them either. Those customers who purchase their wigs without VAT will gain an extra 2.5% reduction on the amount that they pay.

December 2009: Sentoo have five new styles. These are Sora, Natsu, Kasumi, Shima and Tani. These are all petite fit wigs with monofilament tops. NOTE: There will be a V.A.T increase back to 17.5% as of the 1st of January. The following styles have been discontinued from the Tressallure range. These are: Juliette, Jacqueline, Anais, Noel and Parisienne.

November 2009: There are four new styles have been added to the Noriko range along with all new images of the existing Noriko range. These new styles are: Brooke, Farrah, Kate and Jackson. These styles will be available on line shortly. We have also added some new hats and scarves from the Christine Collection, which we hope will prove popular with customers. These are ideal for wearing around the house instead of a wig, especially in the summer months. Natural Image/Hot Hair have discontinued eight styles, which are: Chloe, Toya, Maddie, Kat, Sharon, Lynn, Sabrina and Debra; whilst Noriko have discontinued the Vi style brought out last year.

October 2009: The postal strikes have caused some problems this month, but about 95% of all our mail has been delivered as normal and we hope that this will continue if there is further strike action. We ask all customers to please be patient and place their orders as normal, or as many customers have done, ring us first for availability. We have had price increases on Noriko, Rene of Paris, Gem Collection and Ellen Wille to fall more in line with a more universal pricing structure.

September 2009: The Royal mail is currently undergoing random strikes, with further widespread disruption planned in the coming weeks. Although outgoing parcels are taking longer in some areas a great many are still being delivered on time. We would ask all customers to place orders with us as normal and allow extra time for their parcels to be delivered. Special delivery parcels take a different route through the postal system compared to other mail, and is still the prefered method for by many customers for their wig orders. Nearly all our incomeing parcels arrive with us by courrier, and those parcels still come into us as usual with no delays, so we can still get parcels in the post without delay as we have done in the past.

August 2009: We are looking for more hair salons to join our cutting and styling network, so if you do know of a good hairdresser who is familiar with cutting wigs, we would like to know, as your help would benefit others.We are

July 2009: We are pleased to announce the arrival of the new 'Feather Collection', which is a new range of wigs from Dimples. These are really superb wigs, with a new cap construction. The range comprises twelve synthetic fibred wigs and two human hair wigs.

April 2009: The Royal Mail has again increased postal prices and we have had to follow and do the same. We have increased our first class prices by 5p and special delivery by 10p. These are small increases compared to the Royal Mail's price increase. Rene of Paris have launched four new synthetic fibre styles (Parker, Holli, Regan and Tatum) along with four new Hybrant shades comprising the colours of: Butter pecan, Chocolate frost, Irish spice and Razberry ice.

March 2009: We did try hard to bring you some news but just couldn't find any. Sorry!

February 2009: Sentoo have five new styles. These are Yuri, Yama, Suna, Maiko and Nami. These are all petite fit wigs with monofilament tops.

January 2009: Here at Wigtopia we would like to wish all our customers a very happy and prosperous New Year. If you can't see the wig that you are interested in listed on the web site, then please call us for our competative price and availbility.

December 2008: Following the anouncement by the Chancellor on the reduction of VAT from 17.5% to 15% our prices will not reflect this change. The reason for this is that it would be time consuming and costly to change all our catalogues and web sites. The actual saving on a wig costing £159.95 would be £3.10, and wigs costing £99.95 would be £1.85. These are not significant savings and considering that our prices are generally more competative that other wig companies, I think our decision is the right one. We were going to implement a price change in January anyway, but in light of this news, we have postponed any increases until a much later date. Those customers who purchase their wigs with zero VAT applied will see their purchase costs rise in value by 2.5%, this being the difference from the old rate of 17.5% compared to the new rate of VAT at 15%.

November 2008: Noriko have three new styles. Becca and Jolie are both monofilament and Vi is a standard cap construction. All three styles are available in the gradient colours. Natural Image have discontinued ten styles. These are: Tina, Nina, Rebecca, Lucy, Natasha, Summer, Desire, Appeal, Gabby and Sophisticate.

October 2008: Freestyle have brought out a new colour (9/28/25) which is an autumnal brown in shade. This new colour is available in the Monique and Monique Petite styles only.

September 2008: The Noriko style Jenny has now been discontinued in the following colours: dark chocolate, Light chocolate, Chestnut, Strawberry swirl and Sunny blonde.

August 2008: Noriko have discontinued three styles. These are Teri, Jenny and Monica. The new Noriko brochure is expected in September when details of the new styles will be available. Dimples have also discontinued three styles. These are Angie, New Enigma and Sorento.

July 2008: We have added some new hairpieces by Hot hair. These are called Gorgeous, Glam, Chic and Flow. There is also a new colour available in the Gem Collection, which is colour 102/22, a creamy blonde.

May 2008: Revlon have now launched seven new styles (Illusion, Amity, Posh, Touching, Cheerful, Essential and Escape) The following Revlon styles Ominous, Moonbeam, Carefree, Night moods, Harmony, Slow glance and Longing have been discontinued. Jon Renau also have a new style called 'Posh' and as soon as it's available we will let you know.

April 2008: Appologies to all customers, but the Royal Mail has put up its postal rates, so we must regretably do the same. Rene of Paris have launched five new synthetic fibre styles (Bella, Codi, Miranda, Tanya and Tova) along with the new Hybrant shades of colours. The Amore Human hair wigs are now becoming harder to get hold of and many of the popular colours/styles are totally sold through and therefore no more are available. A range of Jon Renau human hair Wigs have been added which we hope will prove as popular as the other ranges.

March 2008: We've been notified that the Freestyle Wigs have gone up in line with manufacturing costs. This naturally increases the retail prices. We have decided this month not to implement the price increase, so customers can still enjoy the current prices. Seven new styles from the Dimples Collection have now been added, including Kylie a new human hair wig style. The Rene of Paris human hair wigs are now nearly all sold through and becoming harder to find. We expect there to be no more by the end of this month.

February 2008: The Amore range of human hair wigs by Rene of Paris are being discontinued shortly. Customers are therefore advised to stock up while they can with their required style as soon as possible. The Ellen Wille range and the Gem Collection offer many suitable alternatives.

January 2008: The new Ellen Wille brochure is expected out in March offering many new styles including all monofilament caps (Tec range) which are lighter to wear, offering the most realistic look possible for a synthetic fibre wig.

December 2007: We are now able to order in Jon Renau wigs for clients as special orders. We can order in any wig currently in the Jon Renau collection. Simply contact us for price and availability. Now also selling the Sentoo range of wigs, which we expect to compliment our existing ranges. The following styles from Rene of Paris have been discontinued: Faith, Iris, Laured, Margo and from Noriko styles: Candi and Chloe.
